Hi, I’m Mike Stephen, a passionate maker and designer who works with agencies and individual clients all over the world on ux/ui for large data-driven web and native applications, low and high-fidelity wireframing, rapid prototyping, web design, branding, and project management.
I eat, sleep, and breathe UX and love the challenge of solving complex problems with clean, simple, and intuitive UI. My design style is minimal and focused; keeping both the needs of the end-user and business goals of my clients at the forefront.
I strive for pixel perfection but believe firmly that designs should not only look aesthetically pleasing but function and convert at a high level as well. Good design solves problems in the context that they exist and I wear many hats and pay attention to the smallest of details to tackle these problems for my clients.
Not much for fashion, you’ll rarely find me in the wild wearing anything but a hoodie and jeans (except in the dead of summer of course). When not creating stuff, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful girlfriend Kristen, reading, learning new skills, listening to my favorite podcasts, traveling, DDP Yoga, pondering the meaning of life and taking care of my jellyfish.
I’m looking for projects that endeavor to solve real problems and not ones that just create more noise in the world. I am also working on several of my own products.
